5series or 3-series

I love the older look of the 5 series. The 92-95 years are personally my favortie looking cars...ever.

Im currently 17 years old, and I hold down a job. I'm saving my money up to buy one in about a year.

Any advise anyone? Should I go for the 5-series?

The E34 5-Series is a really great machine. I believe there are some maintenance issues that you should know about, but otherwise it's a really great car. Look for a 540i if it fits your budget, I can't stress enough how well the 282hp V8 engine performs.

What kind of advice -specifically- are you looking for?

Be careful when purchasing a 93-95 with the V8 - there was an issue with the engine and the majority of the engine blocks had to replaced. I recommend that you don't purchase a 93-95 540 without the engine block change out.

I like the 525 and the 530. I will look into the 540.
