We've had cruise control in all our BMWs for the last 20 years or so. They are work "logically" IMO. But the one in the X1 defies any logic I can figure out. We really like the one in our 330e for its simplicity. But the one in the X1 has no Cancel nor a Resume button. Several times after having it set for a high speed on the expressway (75mph), we've then gone onto local roads where the speed limit it posted at 45mph. If I turn on the cruise control after exiting the expressway the set speed goes back to 75! I thought the first time that happened I must be doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what that is. I've gotten into the habit of placing my foot near the brake pedal anytime I select cruise control in case it's set to a high speed.
