i've been searching for a new check control module for my e36. so i pulled out the ccm in my car and checked the part #. i've called all the bmw dealerships in town and the serial number (61 358 367 981) on my check control module does not come up as a valid part#. ![[8]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_8ball.gif "Retarded [8]")

all the bmw dealerships have told me that the correct part number for my car's ccm is 61 358 353 098[???1] in fact the part# i gave them doesn't even come up in their data base? what gives? ultimately i had to order the part but its a different part#? what do you guys think?
